There are three levels of membership in the TCSA: Regular, Associate and Life.

Regular membership

 Shall be open to any full time employee of a city, town, municipality, state or federal agency whose primary duties pertain to the traffic operations or related fields. Regular membership is conducted by the local chapter.

Associate membership

(Vendors) May be granted to any individual or company upon application for membership, and payment of prescribed annual dues, subject to the approval of the board. Associate membership is conducted by the State Board for the Local Chapters. Presently dues are $40.00 per chapter and allows two associates to join the chapter.

 Shall be an individual who has been regular or associate member (Vendor) who has retired from their respective agency or company.
